Manila Bay Dining Cruise by Prestige Cruises

It will not cure joint pain but it may just clear colds, provide a relief fron allergies and make you fall in love all over again... either with your date or with Manila Bay.

Prestige Cruises Inc. offers Manila Bay Dining Cruises four times a day every Mondays to Fridays and five times a day every weekend and holidays.

It takes about an hour and you are provided with a man and woman serenading you as the ship cruises around Manila Bay. It reaches Mall of Asia before returning to the dock near the now-closed Jumbo Palace. Walk-in guests are welcome but making reservations does ensure you get seats, they contact you and meals are arranged for you. You also have the option to buy tickets with meals or not.

Tickets with meals cost P500/person.

It's not really a very romantic thing but the sea breeze is sure uplifting. Plus, we do have a really breathtaking sunset happening at the Manila Bay everyday so you can time your trip around that time.

Meals-wise, the food is from so-so to good. If given a choice between fish and chicken, opt for the chicken because it's more tenderly cooked. They provide soup and a main meal (rice, some veggies, one viand and a small square of blueberry cheesecake) and maybe water. Other beverages would ahve to be paid for (I believe our mango juice was P75 per order). So yes, I wouldn't recommend going on the Prestige Cruise if you want to wine and dine your beloved (unless you can commission the whole ship maybe and make more luxurious arrangements).

I recommend this cruise to photographers who want a more unimpeded view of the Manila bay sunset, couples who want to try something new, and oldies who want to remember the glory of Manila Bay. It may also be a great opportunity to teach history to your kids and reminisce with your parents.

And if there is another fireworks competition over at the Mall of Asia, the Manila Bay Cruise ship will take you there without having to deal with the MOA crowd.

Yesterday jan. 9,2014 we had our reservation at prestige cruise. Everything seems to be ok until the ship leaves the ducked. Stained tables, rude waiters,... Buffet? Buffet what???? We were served cold as ice foods like that of the prison cell, its more nice to dine in a turo-turo than eat the horrible, disgusting sloppy foods they served. The ice tea was said to be bottomless but when u call the attention of the waiter, they will just give you a hand signal of "no more"... Yeah right.... I will never ever try this cruise ship again... Best of all, the prices are incredibly out of this world, NOT commensurate to the amount weve paid. Im disgusted and never recommends this ship... Its prestige alright, very very disappointing.
