RD on Weight Loss

Readers Digest Asia for the month of June does not say which of the different weight loss pills work best, but it does say a very important thing about weight loss (lifted verbatim): Calcium from dairy, as opposed to calcium supplied from a supplement or fortified food, has a much greater effect on weight- and body fat-loss (page 100).
This only means that it's really better to eat healthy, calcium-rich foods than rely on fortified bread, drinks and supplements for ones calcium needs.

The average adult requires 1000 mg of calcium each day, pregnant and breastfeeding women however need some extra 300 mg more.
